Endurance specialist Amy Lamprecht can also turn on the speed in a tough ten km Cycle 2 Blackstone race even after backing up from a 75km mountain event in Victoria a week ago. Amy managed to hold out Cycle 2 race sponsor Nathan Jackson in second and her partner John Claridge in third also after competing in Victoria last week. Fastest male runner was returning member Nick Clark who clocked in at 38:04 while the winner Amy Lamprecht registered a time of 41:16.
Division 2 was won well by Bianca Holloway who showed improved form to beat Ella Boxhall in second and Zeke Lanham for third. Fastest runners were Corey Stanley at 3:34 per km who was inadvertently sent off too early by the starters and had to be halted a couple of hundred metres into the race for a spell before being sent off again. Well done Corey! Ella Boxhall was fastest female at 4:15 per km.
In Division 3 only 7 seconds separated first from third with Reiss Hinds managing to hold out Chloe White and Averyl Quinn in an exiting finish. fastest runners were Luke McHugh and Chloe White with rates of 4:01 and 4:22 respectively.
