Jobe Tai has had a goal to run every race at LRC this year and he’s almost done it – on top of almost achieving that, he won the Wes Jones family 8k today at Westbury.  As Jobe and his family are leaving Tasmania at the end of 2017 this win was also very bitter sweet, the entire family will be missed at the LRC!  Jozina Goedhart finished strong to take out the 2nd place and Barry Jones (one of the Jones’ family) took out third.  The fastest male was Matthew Zegveld in a time of 29.47 and the fastest female was Carolyn Farrar.

A number of members of the Wes Jones family attended the race today – four members of the family ran in the race and the rest of them volunteered in various ways.  We’re very thankful for their continued support of the club in the name of their father/grandfather (Wes Jones – 700+ runs with the club).

In the division two 2.3k race Sebastian Frost won from Ryan Holloway and Chelsea Rogers.  The fastest male was Ryan Holloway with a 4.10k rate and the fastest female was Lani Tai with a 5.19k rate.

In the division three 1.15k race Luke McHugh won from Archer Rogers and Hannah Zegveld.  The fastest male was Luke McHugh with a 3.28k rate and the fastest female was Lani Tai with a 4.14k rate.
