10.45am start Long Course (15.1km) Map Long Course
The Windermere 15.1km course is a clockwise loop along the rolling hills around the beautiful Windermere area, starting at finishing on the Tamar River at the Windermere Boat Ramp. The race follows Windermere Road north all the way until a right-hand turn onto Los Angelos Road. A few bends are then rounded in order to stay on Los Angelos Road all the way until the T-intersection with John Lees Drive. The race turns right and stays on John Lees Drive only for a short time before turning right again onto Windermere Road and continuing all the way back to the boat ramp.
IMPORTANT – Stay on the RIGHT side of the road at all times, running on the side of the road, directed toward the oncoming cars. This means that runners can see cars coming, and also it eliminates the issue of cars not being able to pass runners on the route.
Juniors and Short Course will both complete an out and back route starting in the same direction as the long course heading North on Windermere Road. Juniors will turn around at 750m and the Short Course turns around at 1.25km.
