Warm summery conditions greeted the runners at St Leonards today. The TerryWhite Chemmart (Prospect Vale) 5k was won by the race director and club vice president, Andrew Sertori. Shaun O’Regan grabbed second and Jozina MacQueen came third. The fastest male was Rick Barnewald in 17:22 and the fastest female was Kathy Mills in 22:06.
The Short and junior courses were laps of the track, so this year we tried colour bands to keep track of the laps. This worked well and was a bit of fun as it broke up the laps as the runners collected the next coloured band 🙂
In the short course 2.4k Kate Lee-Archer was the first adult from Elizabeth Staak and Anita Gooley. The first junior and winner of the Sam Hellyer memorial race was Ryan Cullen. Amy Lewis in came in second and Ella Fish in third. The fastest male was Tim Reece and the fastest female was Sophie Brewster.
In the junior 1.6k course Seth Hill won the Alex Walley memorial race from Freddy Barnewald and Hollie Cullen came in third. The fastest male was Marcus Finearty and the fastest female was Jada Rowlings.
