Race 20 of the 2024 season, took place in wet conditions again, the End of Season Run and Juniors Day. A big thank you to all the participants, supporters, and volunteers who made this event a memorable one!

Today with the focus being on the Juniors was run in reverse order to allow all the parents and friends to gather and support the Juniors and enjoy lunch and presentations afterwards.

Long Course Overview (5km):

Today saw Angela Spicer claim victory, with Callum Spicer 2nd, Phil Spicer 3rd and Sarah Menzie 4th, all sprinting towards the line behind her with only ~2 seconds between them.  The fastest male was Patrick Moroney posting the fastest time of 19:35 and Sarah Menzie leading the females in 21:27, both incredible times for a not quite flat course with Sarah claiming a couple of Strava Crowns.

Short Course Action (3km):

Was wonderful to see Melinda Bramich get up for a victory today ahead of Morgan Howell in second, both running very well. Adam Tibballs was finishing fast in Third and with a very late Matthew Zegveld in Fourth after missing the start of the 5k. Charlie Reese clocked the fastest junior male time at 11:39, chasing Matthew Zegveld, showing his impressive speed and experience with pacing to finish in 11:01.  Talia Bramich took the top honors in the junior females in 17:44.

Junior Course Highlights (1.5km):

Darcy Staak took the top honors in the juniors ahead of Chloe Marsh. Edith Tibballs holding off Harvey Tibballs in third and fourth. Chloe Marsh recorded the fastest time at 6:38 and Harvey Tibballs the males in 7:35.
