A wonderful start to the 2021 season! Lots of happy faces out for a run AND the rain stayed away (its raining as I write this – theres nothing more satisfying than when it rains AFTER you’ve run 😉 )..
The Launceston Running Company 6.35k at Heritage Forest was won by the lovely Annie Loader! Annie reminded us all that our club is about running and having fun 🙂 Racing in second was Mark Brown followed by Scott Greaves.
The fastest female was Sarah Menzies in a time of 28:03 and the fastest male was Matthew Zegveld in a time of 22:12.
In the 2.5k short course Swanah Tarawally was the first junior across the finish line followed by Joseph Rogers-Jnr and Ella Fish. The first senior across the line was Mark Jones from Anita Gooley and Yvette Darsaklis. The fastest female was Rosie Jackson and the fastest male was Harry Jackson.
The 1.5k junior course was won by the always happy Mason Hill from Harrison Geale and Blake Staak. The fastest female was Emily Padgett and the fastest male was Alexander Murray.

Next week … its Easter and there’ll be now run, please have a safe and enjoyable time with your family 🙂 And we will see you in two weeks on 10th April for the Rob Rick Dale Deer Farm 8k in Evandale – there will be a BBQ including venison available – so please bring some money for the this first fundraiser of the year 🙂
