The ScottSmith Orthodontics 8k in Longford has been run and won and a record broken! Barry Sproston had a strong win in todays race. Melanie Hill came in second and Georgie Serrtori third. The fastest female was Sarah Menzie in a time of 35:21. The fastest male today was Sam Clifford in a record breaking 23:58. This was the second time that Sam has broken the record in two years. In the junior 2.5k Short Course Emily Slocombe was the first across the line from Rosie Jackson and Haylee Spicer. In the senior 2.5k Short Course Mary Brooke was the first across the line from Sarah Fish and Elizabeth Staak. The fastest male was Harry Jackson and the fastest female was Rosie Jackson.
There was a mixed up in the junior 1.5k course – the winner was Alex Bartlett from Kobe Heger and Sophie Bartlett. The fastest male was Flynn Murray and the fastest female was Emily Padgett.

**We have a busy few weeks ahead**
Next week is the Salon Nolas 5k at Blackstone Heights! Entry is open. At Blackstone we will be having a BBQ (BRING CASH) and running sweep on the Feature Race (BRING CASH). We would also like a few marshals for the long course, if you’re in the short course why not stay around, marshal, have a BBQ and get a ticket in the sweep?!
