Race 4 of the 2023 season – the Launceston Running Buddies 5k at Tailrace – has been run and won in gorgeous conditions while raising money for the Dogs Home of Tasmania.
Christine Timms had a great win today with Daniel O’Shea on her heels racing in for second and John Fawcett taking out third.The fastest male was Ricky Barnwell in a time of 18.07 with only 6 seconds separating the fastest 3 males it was a very close race and the fastest female was Cassandra Sheehan in a time of 20.50. We had a amazing field of 70 people take on the 5km today, well done to all.
In the 2.5km short course Fiona Webb was the first senior home with Blake Staak in Second and also first junior, closely behind in third was Rod Howell. The fastest male was Harry Jackson in a time of 8.57 and the fastest female was Jada Rowlings in a time of 11.03.
In the 1.5k junior course we had a Talia Bramich race home for a great win from Zaria Bramich in second and Sienna Bramich to keep it in the family with third. The fastest male was Flynn Murray in 6.07 and the fastest female was Olive Howard with a time of 7.22.

A big thank you to all who helped with the BBQ, including Sarah Fawcett, Karen Spencer and Sarah Guest we raised $238.05 and many, many cans of dog food to donate to the Dogs Home tomorrow.
