Well done to everyone who participated in the first race of the 2015 season and welcome again to our new runners! Todays Northern Concrete Constructions 7km handicap was won by Corran McHugh with Joseph Rogers Snr and David Anderson battling out the minor placings in a sprint finish. Fastest over the course today were Austin O’Byrne in 25:40 and Amy Lamprecht in 28:25.
In a close race Bianca White, who was also the fastest female (4:04/km) took out the Division 2 race from Eliza Anderson and Bianca Holloway, with only 4 seconds separating the placegetters. Stephen Talbot was the fastest male in his first run with the club (3:44min/km). Eloise Cooper was first over the line in Division 3, one second ahead of Harry Darsaklis, with Sisi Tai coming third. Luke McHugh (4:01min/km) and Chloe White (4:28min/km) were the fastest runners in Division 3.
It was a great morning and we’re really excited to have successfully used our new timing system. We’ve got a couple of things to iron out with the reporting in the new system, but this weeks results are now available on our website. Thank you to everyone who helped out at todays race.
