Race 19 of the 2024 season, took place in wet conditions but perfect for trail lovers, the InTas Group 11.09km at Bridport.  This was also the second half of our trail series, keep an eye out for announcement of the series winner at the dinner. A big thank you to all the participants, supporters, and volunteers who made this event a memorable one!

Long Course Overview (11.09):

Today saw Elysia Bishop claim victory, with Jack Huang in second place followed by Leigh Evans in third. Ricky Markham rounded out the top four and was happy to have completed the series and get that medal.  The fastest today was changed up a little this week with Shane Bishop posting the fastest time of 42:54 and Elysia Bishop taking out the females in 53:24.

Short Course Action (2.5km):

Everyone was happy to see our season back marker Charlie Reese get up for a victory today ahead of Talia Bramich in second. It was then the battle of the Mels with Mel Jessup edging out Mel Hill to finish in Third and Fourth.  Charlie Reese clocked the fastest male time at 9:29, showing his impressive speed.  Talia Bramich took the top honors in the junior females in 14:30.

Junior Course Highlights (1.5km):

Sienna Bramich took the top honors in the juniors ahead of Lincoln Irwin. Chloe Marsh and Zaria Bramich finish in third and fourth. Chloe Marsh recorded the fastest female time at 7:10 and Lincoln Irwin the males in 6:34.

IMPORTANT END SEASON INFORMATION:

Next weekend – Hadspen will be reverse order. Long course starts at 10am followed by the short course with the kids close to 11:15. Junior Course Presentations will follow the completion of the racing and we look forward to celebrating their achievements, hopefully as many of the seniors as possible can be there to support them.

End of season dinner is Friday 27th September. This will include the short course presentations, and all are welcome. More information to follow.

AGM is the end of November date to be confirmed. If you want to have an input into the future of the club or perhaps to join the committee all positions will be available as per the constitution.

If you have a shield from last year, can you please hand them back so to that we can work on getting all the names onto the website and some images generated.

Next week, get ready for Race 20 – Hadspen 5km, last race of the season so one not to miss.  Food Van will be back.
