The last race of the 2020 season has been run and won! The Josef Chromy Wines 10k Feature race was run in wet conditions at the beautiful Relbia Winery. Fiona DeWit finished strongly to win on a tough new course around the vines! Shaun O’Regan stormed in second from Sharni Long in third. The fastest male today Ricky Barnewall in 36:30 and the fastest female was Sarah Menzie in 48:06.
Amy Lewis was the first person and first junior across the line in the 2.5k short course. Peter Bugg was second and Ella Fish third junior. The first senior across the line was Joseph Rogers snr followed by Sandra Carter and Elizabeth Staak. The fastest male was Charlie Mills and the fastest female was Rosie Jackson.
In the junior 1.5k race Jack Barnard won from Millie Sertori and Freddy Barnewall. The fastest male was Archer Rogers and the fastest female was Olivia Padgett.
After the race today the junior club met up at the Penny Royal for the end of year celebrations/presentations. The children enjoyed pizza, chips and fizzy drink and had fun climbing the wall or going on the “Dark Ride”! It was a great way to end a crazy season for our wonderful juniors – safe and merry Christmas/New Year to you and your families!
