The Intas Scottsdale to Bridport half marathon was won by Nick Baker. This was Nick’s first time running with the Launceston Running Club and his first time racing this distance (although he has run a marathon). Crossing the line in 1 hour 22 minutes, it was a great effort by Nick, who decided to generously donate his winnings back to the club.
Paige Wierenga surprised herself coming in second, while Lester Cairns made up the third spot. The fastest male today was back-marker Austin O’Byrne in a quick time of 1 hour, 19 minutes. The fastest female was Amy Lamprecht in a fast 1 hour, 28 minutes.
There were no division 2 or division 3 races today.
