The Salon Nolas 5k at Blackstone Heights was run in lovely sunny conditions – thanks to Charlie Mills for stepping in and representing his mum, our sponsor today. Leanne Thomas took out first after being very close most of the year! Jozina Macqueen came in second and Paige Wierenga third. The fastest male was Stephen Bugg in a time of 18:45 and the fastest female was Cassandra Sheehan in a time of 23:57.
In the 2.4k short course the first person and first junior across the line was Hamish Duffy. Joseph Rogers Jnr was second and Charlotte Rogers third junior. Mark Cullen was the first senior to cross the line from Sandra Carter and Christine White. The fastest male was Tim Reece and the fastest female was Anita Gooley.
In the 1.6k junior event Hollie Cullen raced into first from Emily Slocombe and Chelsea Sertori. The fastest male was Harry Jackson and the fastest female was Emily Padgett.
We also had a wonderful BBQ today – thanks to Ricky, Robyn and family for putting it together!

We ran a runners raffle for the feature race today – “who has who” will be posted tomorrow 🙂

After the feature race you are invited to hang around at the Josef Chromy Vineyard, soak up the atmosphere, grab a drink and/or some food! There will be picnic tables available and/or you can bring a picnic rug.
At 2:30pm the junior club presentation/celebration will be happening at the Penny Royal – those with juniors can use their time management skills to do both – relax at Chromys after the feature race and ferry your kids into the Penny Royal by 2:30pm 😉
