Notice is hereby given that the Launceston Running Club will be holding both a Special General Meeting and its Annual General Meeting. Details are as follows. All members and guests are invited to attend, both meetings will be on the same day and run one after the other, the first being the general meeting.
Special General Meeting
Per the constitution of the club notice is given there will be a special general meeting to vote on the following additions to the club constitution. All adult financial members of the club for 2022 can vote on the following proposals, you must be in attendance to vote. The current constitution can be viewed here.
1- That the position of Vice President be added to the list of office bearers- under section 10.1
2- That the length of term for office bearing positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) be adjusted to two year terms to be noted in term of appointment under section 11.4
3- That the Position of president be limited to two consecutive two year terms only under section 11.4, but not include any years served as part of completing another presidents term (i.e assuming a casual vacancy)
Annual General Meeting
The annual general meeting will follow where all positions on the committee will be up for election. All adult club members are eligible to nominate and all positions are vacant per the consitution. A nomination form and details can be found here.
