The man with the Bunnings hat and one of the nicest guys around Mark Brown has stormed home to claim his maiden win in the Crazy Duck York Cove 15k at George Town today. Mark has been training the house down lately looking fit as a fiddle and said after the race “I knew I had it won from the start, no one could get near me.” (quote may be fake) . In second spot with another great run it was Paul Loader, and in third celebrating the 76ers finally winning a game was Natalie Slocombe, well run by all 3.

The fastest male in this race Ricky Barnwell with a blistering pace of 3:35 Km/hr and the fastest female was Debbie Pauna with a pace of 4:21 km/hr (though she was outsprinted at the end by someone …) . Both of these runners continue to amaze us all with their pace over any distance.

In the 2.5k Junior race Charlie Reese wanted to win, so he did and he was followed closely by Seth Hill and Ella Fish (who had her start mucked up an inattentive starter). In the 2.5k Senior race it was a great first win to Emmanuel Tarawally, followed by Teresa Ludbey and Liz Staak. Well run by all. The fastest male was Peter Bugg and the fastest female was Ella Fish.

In the 1.5k it was a fantastic win to Talia Bramich, ahead of Mia Eastley and Marcus Finnearty. The fastest male was Marcus Finnearty and the fastest female was Jada Rowlings. Medals to be presented for these races next week.
