The hills were alive at Van Dieman Brewery yesterday!  A beautiful day for running (if not a little warm) and Mark Cullen had a day out.  Mark stormed home to hold off a fast finishing Shane Bishop who came in a close second.  Third place was taken out by Emily Zhang, a new runner with the club who put in a strong effort to also be our first female over the line.  Charles Gunn took out fourth place and was also our fastest male with a Strava Course Record time of 34:30.  Sarah Menzie was our fastest female in a time of 48:40.

Our short course was won by Blake Staak who put in a solid effort to keep the field at by and cross the line first.  In second place was Indianna Berwick, with Sharni Reese putting in a strong run to be our first Senior and also third overall.  Fourth place as taken out by Aarden Boonyanit.  Well done to all of you on a trying course!!  We love hills.

The junior race saw Isobel Gunn come home with a burst of speed and pip her brother Freddie on the line to win by 3 seconds!!  It was a tight race all round with Chloe Marsh coming in a close third, followed by Logan Webb in fourth place.

It was a great day of running all round and we all enjoyed the well deserved food and refreshments after.  Thanks again to Rob Tatchell and his family for hosting this amazing race!

Next week we are at TailRace which is proudly sponsored by Scott Jones Building.  Historically a favourite with our Launceston Running Buddies, we hope to see you all for a nice flat and fast course.
