Race 5 of the 2024 season, The Fawcett Family Hillwood 10km was ran in perfect conditions. Thank you to everyone for adjusting to last minute course start. Big thanks to all the participants, supporters and volunteers how make the day possible.
Long Course Overview (9.8km)
In the 9.8km we had Mel Hill have a strong run to take out the win. In second place saw Leanne Evans narrowly hold off Margaux Blanckaert and Sharon Gunton in third and fourth place respectively. Today saw a smashingly fast time of 29:43 in the males with Sam Clifford claiming fastest and potentially a new record and Sarah Menzie battling it out with Hannah Morris to claim fastest female in 44:35.
Short Course Action (2.7km)
In the short course we saw the ever smiling, bubbly Paige Wierenga take the win. Christine White took out second ahead of Blake Staak in third and also first junior with Morgan Howell in fourth. The fastest junior male today went to Charlie Reese in 10:02 and Violet Morrison fastest female in 13:35.
Junior Course Highlights (1.5km)
In the junior action we saw Darcy Staak finish strong to claim the win ahead of the speedy Harvey Tibballs in second ahead of Sebastian Abel. The fastest male today was Henry Morrison in 6:53 and Chloe Marsh in the females in 6:36.

Looking Ahead:
We have Race 6 Greaves Engineering and Design 6km Low Head. This is always an interesting one with both the junior and short course running on the beach.
We are lucky to have Ricky and Robyn providing a BBQ at this event. This will be $5 per family.
