A happy Mel Scott crossed the line first in today Rob Rik Dale Deer Farm 8k in Evandale in perfect running conditions! Race sponsor Robyn Beattie took out second and Leanne Thomas a close third. The fastest male was Ricky Barnewall in 27.43 and the fastest (and youngest) female was Averyl Quinn in 32.15.
In the short 2.5k course the first junior home was Charlie Reese and the first over 18 was Luke Patterson! Second place was taken out by Chelsea Rogers and third by Joe Rogers Jnr. The fastest male in this race was Harry Darsaklis and the fastest overall female was Anna O’Donnell and the fastest junior female was Annabelle Pyke.
In the junior 1.5k course it was basically a photo finish! It was the computer who told us that Noah Webb crossed the line .2 of a second ahead of Marcus Finearty. In third place was Flynn Rogers. The fastest male was Peter Bugg and the fastest female was Imogen Hughes.

Next week we’re off to the beach for the Geier 6k at Low Head – the junior and short courses include the beach while the long course goes up to the light house and back. If the weather allows we will have a BBQ – gold coin donation.
