We hit the hills of Hillwood today to run the Low Head Tourist Park Hillwood 10k. The day started in fog but ended in sunshine, especially for the always encouraging Nat Slocombe who smashed out a very strong win on the hills! Racing into second was Pete Wierenga with Leigh Jessup grabbing third. The fastest male today was Ricky Barnewall in 35:36 and the fastest female was Deb Pauna in 43:26.
The Junior and Short Course events were both held in foggy conditions at the Hillwood oval.
In the short course 2.75k lap race, Jacob Heger was the first junior across the line from Rosie Jackson and Ryan Cullen. The first senior across the line was Rebecca Finearty from Lisa McCathy and Pete Lee-Archer. The fastest male was Peter Bugg and the fastest female was Rosie Jackson.
In the Junior 1.65k lap race, Marcus Finearty raced into first from Spencer Fish and Jacinta Rowlings. The fastest male was Marcus Finearty and the fastest female was Emily Padgett.
