It rained for the junior and short course today but the sun came out for the Salon Nolas 5k at Blackstone Heights! Pete Wierenga broke through for a strong win. He and daughter Paige have been teasing each other – would he get a win at LRC BEFORE she had her baby? Luckily for Pete, Paige is 10 days over due! Good luck this week Wierenga family 🙂 Racing into second was Leanne Bishop while Ashley Bosveld came third.
The fastest male today was Ricky Barnewall in a time of 17:09, and the fastest female was Sarah Menzie in a time of 21:27.
In the 2.4k short course Haylee Spicer was the first junior from Rosie Jackson and Swanah Tarawally. The first senior across the line was Kate Lee-Archer from Elizabeth Staak and Lisa McCarthy. The fastest female was Rosie Jackson and the fastest male was Harry Jackson.
In the 1.6k junior race Cale Eastley stormed home for a win from Emily Padgett and Karlysha Faka’osilea. The fastest male was Alexander Murray and the fastest female was Emily Padgett.
Our fabulous BBQ organised and run by Ricky Robyn and family raised – $147.50 for the club today!!
