Race 18 of the 2024 season, took place in perfect running conditions for the Nova Land Consulting 5.5km at Grindelwald. A big thank you to all the participants, supporters, and volunteers who made this event a memorable one!
Long Course Overview (5.5km):
Today saw Phil Spicer claim victory for the first time with Leigh Evans hot on his heals. Jo Cowie and Susan Kerr were not far behind in third and fourth to make it an interesting finish with all four finishing within 30 seconds. Matt Zegveld claimed fastest male in a time of 22:51 with Sarah Menzie posting the fastest female, finishing in 26:19.
Short Course Action (2.5km):
Talia Bramich secured victory today ahead of Morgan Howell. Lauren Tibballs crossed the line in third and the first senior with Seth Hill rounded out the top four. Charlie Reese clocked the fastest male time at 8:22, showing his impressive speed. Violet Morrison took the top honors in the females in 11:02.
Junior Course Highlights (1.5km):
Darcy Staak took the top honors in the juniors ahead of Zaria Bramich. Chloe Marsh and Edith Tibballs had a last minute sprint to finish in third and fourth. Chloe Marsh recorded the fastest female time at 7:13 and Harvey Tibballs the males in 8:38.

Next week, get ready for Race 19 – Bridport 11km, this is one not to miss as it is the second part of our Scottsdale/Bridport series.
