Online Entry :- https://launcestonrunningclub.com.au/race-entry/
Race Briefing :- 5 minutes prior to the start of the race – if you are an experienced LRC runner and know the course, you may choose to not be at the race briefing and just turn up close to your official handicapped time.
Handicaps :- we will endeavour to publish these on Facebook on Friday evening by 8pm to give you a choice to turn up near your race start time or at the start of the event. Please note that checking the race start list on the caravan is advisable in case you’ve been missed… The published handicaps on Friday nights DO NOT mean you’ll be on the start list (On Friday nights, we publish handicaps for all current club members not just those running in that particular event)
Please note we will NOT be taking in person/race day entries at this stage, as a part of our COVID-19 precautions to reduce contact. So if you want to race PLEASE enter online now..
** IMPORTANT NOTE for all new members – firstly welcome, we can’t wait to get to know you better 🙂 Secondly, we need you to enter online by the Monday prior to race day (for your first race) so we can give you an appropriate handicap. We may need to speak to you prior to race day to finalise your handicap in order to reduce contact. On race day please come to the caravan to be given your personal timing chip & to have a quick conversation with Mark our handicapper who will explain the handicapping/race day process a little more 🙂
COVID-19 precautions:
- Online entry only
- We will provide hand sanitiser for those wishing to use it
- Our start line will be appropriately spaced
- We will have the presentation but again appropriate distancing will be required
- Please stay home if you are feeling unwell and/or have flu like symptoms.
We understand that the world will be dealing with the fall out from COVID-19 for some time to come and that we may need to adjust how we’re doing things in the coming months/years.
So far this has been a very unusual year for everyone and a very difficult one for many, hopefully returning to our weekly racing routine will in some way help us all move forward in a positive healthy way 🙂
If you have any questions or concerns please let us know…
We can’t wait to see you all in person!
