45 competitors took on the iconic NLAC Lilydale Lope 16.6k today in prefect conditions. Back marker, Ricky Barnewall stormed home with a race PB to take out the race. Katherine Mills raced into 2nd place and Pete Wierenga came in 3rd. The fastest male today was Ricky Barnewall in 59:50 and the fastest female was Debbie Pauna in 1:14:42.

It’s great to be back at the Lope after it was cancelling in 2020 due to COVID restrictions. Thank you to the NLAC and sponsors who officiated over another successful event!

In the 2.5k short course Archer Rogers crossed the line first for the juniors, followed by Charlie Reese and Peter Bugg. Elizabeth Staak was the first senior across the line from Cameron Slocombe and Teresa Ludbey. The fastest male was Harry Jackson and the fastest female was Sophie Brewster.

In the 1.5k junior course Callum Spicer won on home turf! Jacinta Rowlings came in second and Marcus Finearty was third. The fastest male was Alexander Murray and the fastest female was Emily Padgett.
