Race 1 of the 2024 season – the Launceston Running Company Heritage Forest 6.35k – has been run and won in beautiful weather. It was great to see you all – thank you, we appreciate it 🙂
A strong field competed in the long course today with Sarah Guest storming home for a solid win! Debra O’Regan raced in second and Hannah Morris took out third. The fastest male was Matty Zegveld in a time of 23:04 and the fastest female was Sarah Menzie in a time of 28:31.
In the 2.5k short course Isaac Rowlings was the first junior home and Michelle Barnard was the first senior home. Second place was a strong finishing Tim Reese and closely behind in third was Mason Hill. The fastest male was Charlie Reese and the fastest female was Violet Morrison.
In the 1.5k junior course we had two fabulous young athletes – Henry Morrison raced home for a great win with Darcy Staak coming in a strong second. The fastest in today’s event was Henry Morrison.
