Launceston Running Buddies leader and Local Legend Scott Jones has stormed home to take out the Woolcott Surveyors 5.9k at picturesque Grindelwald today. It was a great win for Scott and his first since 2017. In second place it was a tight tussle with Fiona Webb edging out Luke Patterson, both with fantastic runs today. Everyone enjoyed the multiple laps around the scenic lake.
The fastest male today was Matthew Zegveld in a pace of 3:32km continuing his great early season form. The fastest female was the cheerful Louise Padgett putting in a fantastic run at a pace of 4:31km.
In the short course seniors it was Mel Jessup running for two in first place just ahead of Kate Lee-Archer and Elizabeth Staak, the fastest male was Leigh Geale with a pace of 3:35km and the fastest female was Jozina Maqueen with a pace of 4:45.
In the short course Juniors it was Joseph Rogers Junior winning, just edging out his brother Archer Rogers and Peyton Webb in third. The fastest male was Archer Rogers in a pace of 4:18km and the fastest female was Sophie Brewster in a pace of 4:08km.
In the kids 1.5km Chelsea Sertori finished quick to take out first place just ahead of the equally fast finishing Kobe Heger and Callum Spicer, separated by a whisker for second and third. The fastest male was Alexander Murray with a pace of 4:28km and the fastest female was Emily Padgett in a pace of 4:25km.
