Today we ran the another first – the Crazy Duck 15.7k at York Cove! The weather was sunny with a cross wind on most of the course. The 15.7k was taken out by Shane Hanson from Shaun O’Regan and Narelle Krushka.
The fastest male was Ricky Barnewall in a time of 56:08 and the fastest female was Debbie Pauna in a time of 1:09:15.
In the short course the first adult across the line was Karen Spencer from Kate Lee-Archer and Fiona Webb. The first junior was Charlie Reese from Daniel DeWitt and Peter Bugg. The fastest male was Daniel Dewitt and the fastest female was Averyl Quinn.
In the junior 1.5k course the first runner home was Flynn Rogers followed by Olivia Gooley and Jack Barnard in third. The fastest male was Archer Rogers and the fastest female was Jada Rowlings.
The York Cove course provided spectators a great view of the junior and short course races as you could see the entire course and for the long course the first 3k and the last 3k were visible – making this a great spectator event!

Next week its the Haymes Paint Fancy Dress 5k at the Hoo Hoo Hut, Trevallyn Reserve – where we’re all about raising money for a fabulous local charity – St Giles!
