Shaun O’Regan in his 199th run has won by a whisker in the Launceston Running Buddies 5k at Tailrace.  The photographers were working overtime to capture the finish as Shaun held off the fast finishing Steve Fitzallen in second, Daniel Robnik took out third place.

The fastest male was no surprise it was Sam Clifford in a time of 15:34, (he went back for another lap in the presentations) and the fastest female was Rosie Jackson in a time of 22:17.

In the short course juniors Mia Zeeman used every ounce of energy she had to cross the line in first place collapsing to the ground after her great win, in second was Peter Bugg and 3rd and fastest male was Archer Rogers . The first senior to cross the line was Sandra Carter winning from Rebecca Finearty and Kate Lee-Archer. The fastest female was Swanah Tarawally.

In the junior 1.5k race Jada Rowlings was the fastest female with an awesome finish to take out her first race, just ahead of Blake Staak and Callum Spicer, Callum was also the fastest male.

Next week we’re off to Sidmouth for the famous gutbuster, please also be aware that race 8  and race 13 have swapped, University is now race 8 on the 22nd of May and Hillwood is race 13 on the 26th of June
