Shaun Smith won his first race with the Launceston Running club. The Pasta Merchant 6.2k race at Carr Villa saw 43 local runners tackle this tough undulating course in great weather. Pete Wierenga came in 2nd and Jess Scales 3rd. The fastest male was Matthew Zegveld, while the fastest female was Amy Lamprecht. Scott Murchison from Pasta Merchant was there to present the awards to the runners.

In the division two 2.5k race Caleb Beament came in first from Ella Boxhall and Ryan Holloway. The fastest male was Ryan Holloway and the fastest female was Ella Boxhall.

In the division three 1.5k race Hannah Zegveld came in first from Ashleigh Dettmer and Peyton Webb. The fastest male was Alex Zegveld and the fastest female was Averyl Quinn.

A number of milestone badges were handed out at this Saturdays race – among them were a 350 race badge for Doris Geier, a 250 race badge for Robyn Bettie and a 50 for Sam Wierenga. Great job everyone.
