Carr Villa dished up a short, sharp and hilly course for the Launceston Running Club on a beautiful sunny day that was 4 July 2026. Thanks very much to Eye Spy Signs and Safety for being the official Carr Villa race sponsor!
The 3.1km Short Course completed one lap of the Carr Villa Memorial Park, the 6.2km Long Course covered two laps of the same, and the 1.5km Juniors Course flew through an out and back which started downhill and of course ended on a long uphill stretch to the finish line. Incredible efforts by all runners, fair to say everyone was pretty spent by the end!

This race is a busy one with the following special events also happening on the day:
- BBQ after the run (venison burgers, veggie burgers and beef sausages with GF bread available – all meat is GF). $5 per person and $10 for a family, all you can eat! All proceeds will be going toward supporting the club to hold our annual race season.
- Timer training after the run – available to anyone wanting to learn how to operate the timing equipment for our races, so you can help out on race day! Learn the process while munching on a BBQ lunch.
- We will have club shirts available for purchase and collection ($10 per shirt or simply collect your shirt with your name on the back if you previously ordered one!)
Race 7 – ‘Keith Badcock Memorial’ Nick Hay Howell Property Group Bishopsbourne 15.3km
Date: Saturday 11 July 2026 (10am Short Course and Juniors, 10.45am Long Course)
Venue: Bishopsbourne
Course: A relatively flat course around the Bishopsbourne area. Long Course 15.3km, Short Course 2.5km, Juniors 1.5km.
Meeting point: Bishopsbourne Rec Ground (1112 Bishopsbourne Road, Bishopsbourne TAS)
Enter here BEFORE 7pm Thursday 9 July 2026 (entries close at 7pm sharp Thursday – no entries on race day). TIP: Plan to enter on Wednesday so you don’t accidentally miss the cut off time!
