The Low Head Tourist Park Hillwood 10k was run and won on Saturday. This race is also the memorial race for a long time LRC member Don Flanagan (300+ runs with the club).
David Anderson (Strawb), previous club president and all round good bloke, won Saturday’s 10k race around the hills of Hillwood. We were also lucky to have race sponsor Sarah Hickling attended the race and help with the presentations – thanks for your support Sarah!
David Booth came in second with Sharon Gunton third (with her husband Tim following closely ;-)). The fastest male was Deon Birtwistle in 36:42 and the fastest female was Katie Proctor in 48:36!
In the division two 2.75k race Amy Lewis came in first from Alex Zegveld and Averyl Quinn. The fastest male was Luke McHugh and the fastest female was Averyl Quinn.
In the division three 1.65k race Joseph Rogers-Jnr came in first from Peyton Webb and Jess Butler. The fastest male was Luke McHugh and the fastest female was Averyl Quinn.

Next Saturday we have the always awesome Kurt and Doris Geier Low Head 6k! A fabulous little jog up to the lighthouse and back 🙂
