Race 1 of the 2023 season – the Launceston Running Company Heritage Forest 6.35k – has been run and won in beautiful weather. What a great start to the season with so many old and new faces turning up – thank you, we appreciate it 🙂

A strong field competed in the long course today with Telena Kirkham storming home for a solid win with Daniel Sexton hot on her heels for second and Anne Davies took out third. The fastest male was Zane Carr in a time of 22:52 and the fastest female was Sarah Menzie in a time of 27:47, less than 10 seconds from the next being Rosie Jackson, should be a close competition season.  See the full results for the long course can now be found here on the website 🙂  Short Course and Juniors to come…

In the 2.5k short course Travis Eastley was the first senior home and Tommy Nguyen was the first junior home.  Second place was a strong finishing Phoebe Jackson-Mills and closely behind in third was Jack Barnard. The fastest male was Harry Jackson and the fastest female was Olivia Padgett.

In the 1.5k junior course Lucy Webb raced home for a great win from Bailey Burke in second and Sebastian Abel in third.  The fastest male was Marcus Finearty and the fastest female was Olive Howard.
