Race 13 of the 2024 season, sponsored by Nick Hay-Howell Property Group, was held in the scenic winter conditions of Bishopsbourne. Despite the fog and cold, everyone seemed excited about taking on our second longest course – maybe they also wanted to warm up 🙂  A big thank you to all participants, sponsor (Nick Hay – who also ran), and volunteers who contributed to the event’s success!

Long Course Overview (15.3 km):
Tim Gunton claimed victory in the 15.3k long course with a stellar performance. Sarah Menzie followed closely, securing second place and also the fastest female time of 1:10:57. Jack Huang rounded out the top three, with Pete Wierenga finishing strong in fourth. Judah Morris posted the fastest male time at 1:01:09, showcasing his speed and endurance.

Short Course Action (2.5 km):
Stephen Rowlings was the first across the line in the short course, winning the adult category. Isaac Rowlings, following closely, was not only the junior winner but also second overall. Elizabeth Staak completed the top three finishers. Charlie Reese recorded the fastest male time at 9:29, demonstrating impressive speed.

Junior Course Highlights (1.5 km):
Sebastian Abel took the win in the junior course and also posted the fastest male time of 8:05. Darcy Staak secured second place, while Chloe Marsh, who finished third, set the fastest female time at 7:38, showcasing her agility and speed.
