Race 3 of the 2023 season – the Van Diemen Brewery 9.75k in White Hills – has been run and won in fabulous conditions with some fabulous beer. It was also the much loved soup and savs fundraiser day – thanks to all who helped make soup, organise savs and serve them 🙂 Plus we’d like to The Olde Tudor Bakery for donating the bread!
There wasn’t much between our top 3 finishers in the long course today! Tristan Pickering ran strong ahead of a strong finishing Barry Sproston and Chris Marsh.
The fastest male was Jono Claridge in a time of 37:38 and the fastest female was Amy Lamprecht in a time of 43:42.
In the 2.52k short course Neil Hammersley was the first senior home and Harry Jackson was the second finisher and first junior home. Third place went to Jack Barnard. The fastest male was Harry Jackson and the fastest female was Lucy Jackson.
In the 1.68k junior course Flynn Murray raced home for a great win from Marcus Finearty in second and Noah Webb in third. The fastest male was Flynn Murray and the fastest female was Olive Howard.

Next week is the incredibly popular Launceston Buddies 5k at the Tailrace! There will also be a BBQ fundraiser (for the Launceston Dogs Home) next week, so bring cash 🙂
