Race 12 of the 2024 season, sponsored by The Running Edge, unfolded beautifully at the scenic Greens Beach. Despite a chilly start, the sun quickly warmed us up, providing perfect conditions for our runners. A huge thank you to all the participants, supporters, and volunteers who made this event a success!
Long Course Overview (10.4 km):
Craig White led the field in the 10.4k long course, securing a decisive victory. Paul Loader raced in to claim second place, while Stuart Wright took the third spot. Anne Davies finished strong in fourth. Judah Morris clocked the fastest male time at an impressive 40:54, showcasing his exceptional speed and endurance. Among the women, Sarah Menzie shone brightly as the fastest female with a time of 49:57.
Short Course Action (2.5 km):
In the short course, Melissa Jessup raced into first among the adults, running a strong race. In the junior category, Charlie Reese took the win and also recorded the fastest overall time of 9:10. Melanie Hill came in second, with Timothy Reese finishing in third place.
Junior Course Highlights (1.5 km):
On the junior course, Chloe March sprinted to victory, earning the title of fastest female with an outstanding time of 7:16. Darcy Staak followed closely, securing second place. Connor Ratcliffe completed the podium, taking third place and also setting the fastest male time at 12:14 in a competitive race.
